A carcass of Tiger has been located by Beat Guard Shringarputle of Warpani beat in Risala Range at Compartment number 707 of FDCM in a small nala near village Sarra at around 2.00 pm on Tuesday.
This area adjoins Nagalwadi Range of Pench Tiger Reserve. The carcass is in a state of advanced degeneration and all the hairs have fallen. All the 4 paws have been found to be chopped off. The tiger is fully grown and the death is estimated to have occured atleast 7 to 8 days before. The probable cause of death shall be known after Post Mortem, which will be conducted on Wednesday as per SOP of NTCA. The incidence is being investigated.
