The online examinations of nearly 22,000 students of Rashrasant Tukadoji Maharaj Nagpur University were conducted smoothly on Friday. The bugs which had hit the web-based examinations on the first day of the examinations on Thursday, was removed late in the evening.
Professor Prafulla Sable, Director of Examinations and Evaluation stated that more than 21,500 students appeared in the three shifts of examinations on Friday. Three examinations were held in the morning, six in the second shift and five in the afternoon. Â Â
On Thursday the authorities at the university were rattled with a large number of complaints which were being received from various parts of the four districts, which are under jurisdiction of the University. Prof Sable himself received more than 1000 phone calls.
 The network bugs, which created the problem yesterday was more prominent compared to the problems in the server. On Friday, the issue was resolved and only a few students had problems in operation of the system developed by the university.
Prof Sable stated that the bugs had blocked the path on Thursday, the problem which did not occur on Friday.
RTM Nagpur University has no dearth of talent and it also seeks help from VNIT, one of the prime institution in the country. Prof Sable also stated that the university after conducting all the tests was a bit overconfident that the system will work smoothly. The problem, which was not anticipated hit the system on Thursday. The issue was resolved immediately and he expressed confidence that the remaining part of the examinations will be conducted smoothly.
