An initiative to give basic playing facilities to the city sportspersons, the civic administration has decided to develop one ground each in six assembly constituencies of the city. In this regard, the newly elected sports committee chairman Pramod Tabhane has undertaken an inspection drive. On Wednesday he visited Marartoli ground where generally football matches take place. During the inspection visit which is located in the Prabhag 14 of Dharampeth Zone .
After inspection Tabhane directed the officials to level the football field and erect two goalposts at each end of the ground. Besides this, sprinkler guns will also be put with proper water pipelines to make the ground lush green.A decision was also taken to protect the ground from all sides with compound wall and gates. The NMC will also construct two separate washrooms for men and women.
