As we know the number of Covid positive cases are increasing in city. And the situation is very worst that patients are not getting beds or oxygen at the hospitals. However, the district on Sunday got some relief as it received 78 Metric Tonnes (MT) of Oxygen from different sources.
The total stock of oxygen available in the district is now 137, 58 MT.The supply has been planned as per the requirement of oxygen and continuous efforts are being made to provide maximum oxygen from the steel industry in the division as well as in the neighbouring districts. Given the growing number of corona patients, Covid hospitals may need 148 metric tons of oxygen per day. Other districts in the division may need 50 tons of oxygen. As per information, on Sunday, the district received 42 metric tonnes of oxygen from Aditya PraxAir and 36 metric tonnes from Renuka.In order to ensure smooth supply of oxygen to Nagpur division and district, 15 tankers are being used to transport oxygen from Bhilai, Rourkela etc.
