Bed availability improves in city
For the first time after a long wait, one ventilator bed is available, that too at Sushrut Hospital, which was under controversy recently.
The situation of Covid19 spread in Nagpur has improved.
With increase in beds to take care of patients, the problem of frantic search by the infected has ended.
In all 1112 oxygen beds and over 100 ICU beds are vacant on Thursday evening, as reported by Nagpur Municipal Corporation.
Fortunately vaccine doses, although small in number, have been made available in the city.
The situation is expected to improve further, if the third wave does not hit with more intensity. The second wave caught the administration on wrong foot.
The health machinery which did little to meet the challenges posed by the second wave, is expected to wake up in time from the deep slumber.
