The Buldana district administration has decided to enforce a stringent lockdown in Buldana district from 8 pm from today to 8 pm on May 20. A decision to this effect was taken in a meeting held here on Sunday. The meeting was chaired by Guardian Minister and State Minister for FDA Dr Rajendra Shingane. MP Prataprao Jadhav, MLA Dr Sanjay Kuthe, MLA Shweta Mahale, MLA Aakash Phundkar, MLA Rajesh Aikde, MLA Sanjay Gaikwad, District Collector S Ramamurthy and SP Arvind Chawria were present.
The district administration has decided to tighten the lockdown to break the chain of coronavirus infections. The district is grappling with shortage of beds in hospitals and of Remdesivir injections. Only hospitals, pharma stores and milk vendors have been exempted from the restrictions. Apart from this, it has been decided to keep all administrative offices and private offices completely close. All petrol pumps as well as grocery shops in the city will be closed.
