After a long wait, the drive-in vaccination in city starts from today as the civic administration is making arrangements for the same at Glocal Mall, Sitabuldi, in heart of city, and at Trillium Mall, Medical Square. Union Minister Nitin Gadkari will inaugurate the facility at 11.30 am at Munje Chowk while Guardian Minister Dr Nitin Raut at Rambagh at 3.30 pm. Mayor Dayashankar Tiwari and Municipal Commissioner Radhakrishnan B will be present at both the venues along with other administrative officials.
As per State Government directives, citizens above 60- years of age will only be vaccinated here. Meanwhile, Nagpur District on Thursday received stock of 50,000 vials for inoculation against COVID-19 and they have been equally distributed in city and rural areas. The new stock would enable NMC and respective agencies in rural landscape to speed-up the lagging vaccination drive and provide a sense of relief to citizens.
