City remembers Rajiv Gandhi, former Prime Minister of the country on his 41st death anniversary today. Considering the lockdown period due to pandemic program’s like sanitations of the society and distribution of masks were held and also other help to the Covid patients are being organized in the city.
Congress Party and various other social organisations has conducted program to pay tribute to the beloved leader.
Girish Pandav, Secretary of MPCC said, “Being a pandemic period, small programs are being held for paying tribute to the great leader of our country. My team is continuously organizating several programe of vaccination of senior citizen, sanitization of colony, distribution of food to relatives of patients etc. which will continue today also.â€
Nitin Kumbalkar, AICC Member added that Rajivji will be remembered for a long time. Whenever in need, citizens immediately seek help from their corporators or their sarpanchs depending upon the place they live in. This bottom-up approach of governance, known as the Panchayati Raj and conceptualized in 1986, has completely revamped our understanding of democracy.
