As the vaccination drive has begun in the world countries are resuming some services education for foreign students is being accepted only if the candidate is vaccinated with the COVID vaccine doses. The requests for vaccination are being made by students who are options for foreign education.
Nagpur Mayor Dayashankar Tiwari said that the state government had stopped vaccination of citizens above 18 to 45 years. However, students who are guaranteed admission to study abroad are facing difficulties due to non-vaccination.
The universities are asking information about vaccination. The closure of vaccinations has raised questions about their education abroad.
Mayor appealed that “the students had applied to study abroad. They have access there but need to be vaccinated before they can get there. The corporation should provide both Covaxin and Covshield vaccines as different vaccines are recognized in different nationsâ€.
“Therefore, vaccination should be arranged ‘walk in’ or ‘drive in’â€, he suggested.
On May 30 CM Uddhav Thackerya while addressing the state informed that Government will soon roll out vaccination for students who have got admission confirmation in foreign universities and need vaccines for the same.
