In yet another cyber crime case a person was defrauded of Rs 295,000 by pretending to pay 3.39 lakh in 45 days in the name of an insurance policy.
The incident took place between February 25 and March 12, 2021.
As per the information, Santosh Kumar Rajbali Mishra (53) recieved a call on from Shweta Shukla and Rajiv Verma.
The caller said that If he deposits 295,000 now, he will get a maximum life insurance advance maturity amount of 3,39 lakhs in just 45 days.
After falling prey to the offer, Mishra sent them 95,000 through Google Pay. Now, after 45 days, when Mishra approached company officials to get the money, he got a shock of his life, as there was no such plan.
Mishra immediately lodged a complaint with the Hudkeshwar police station on Saturday after realising that he had been cheated. Further probe in underway.
