A senior clerk of Nagpur Municipal Corporation was caught by Anti-Corruption Bureau, while accepting a bribe of Rs 10,000.
The clerk Rajendra Shankarrao Gajbhiye, accepted the bribe at Health Centre of NMC, Dharampeth Zone, from NMC’s former sanitary worker, for clearing documents pertaining to his pension.
The complainant had sought retirement on health grounds and has approached Gajbhiye in connection with adjustment of leaves, while sanctioning his pension.
Gajbhiye demanded Rs 10,000 for completing the formalities. A complaint was lodged with Anti-Corruption Bureau. The sleuths of ACB laid the trap and caught Gajbhiye while accepting the bribe, informs a press note issued by ACB.
