5611 children in the district have been selected from 680 schools under the Right to Education Act (RTE). The admission process will start from tomorrow till June 30. Children selected in the process should go to the allotted school between June 11 to June 30 to secure admission.
Officials have instructed that parents should follow COVID guidelines and protocols and avoid rushing to the school for admission. The date of admission from the school will be informed via SMS to the mobile number mentioned in the application. Parents can also check the date of admission by clicking on the application details on the RTE portal.
Parents are instructed to bring the original documents for admission. Out of the 5611 selected children 908 students will be admitted in 102 schools in Nagpur rural region.
40 students for five schools selected in Bhivapur Taluka, 393 students for 41 schools in Hingna taluka, 118 students for 26 schools in Kalmeshwar taluka, 391 students for 40 schools in Kamathi taluka, 164 students for 19 schools in Katol taluka, 99 students for 15 schools in Kuhi taluka, 172 students for 19 schools in Mouda taluka, 908 students for 102 schools in Nagpur rural, 114 students for 14 schools in Narkhed taluka, 112 students for 17 schools in Parshivani taluka, 127 students for 13 schools in Ramtek taluka, 224 students for 34 schools in Savner taluka and 222 students for 24 in Umred taluka. In urban areas, 1848 children have been selected for 272 schools, 679 children for 39 schools in URC 2.
Education is the right of every child and the Right to Education Act provides for free and compulsory education for children between the ages of 6 and 14. Every child will have the right to education.
