India records 6148 highest single day death in 24 hr

Even though India is on a path of recovery the spike in death cases is a big concern as India recorded the highest jump in death cases in a single day in the last 24 hours for the first time since the pandemic began to affect the country. With 6148 deaths in the last 24 hours, the cumulative death tally reached 3,59,676 (1.23%) raising eyes on the current easement plan of lockdown given in various states where the positivity rate is less.

Meanwhile, India’s Daily Recoveries continues to outnumber Daily New Cases for the 28th consecutive day. 1,51,367 recoveries were registered in the last 24 hours. India’s cumulative recoveries have reached 2,76,55,493 (94.77%) today. The National Recovery Rate has grown further increases to 94.77%.

Meanwhile India records less than 1 lakh cases for the 3rd Day. With 94,052 new cases in last 24 hours the tally of Confirmed cases reaches to 2,91,83,121.

India’s total Active Caseload was less than 12 lakh (11,67,952) after 60 days as Active Cases decrease by 63,463 in last 24 hour.

Daily Positivity Rate decreases to 4.69% which is less than 10% for 17 consecutive days. Testing capacity substantially ramped up – 37.21 cr tests total conducted.

Vaccine Doses administered so far under Nationwide Vaccination Drive crosses 24 Cr mark (24,27,26,693).

The cumulative number of COVID-19 vaccine doses administered in the country has exceeded 24 Cr today under the Nationwide Vaccination Drive. 33,79,261 vaccine doses were administered in the last 24 hours. A total of 24,27,26,693 vaccine doses have been administered through 33,82,775sessions, as per the provisional report till 7 am today.
