In order to speed up the vaccination process and cover maximum people, Nagpur Municipal Corporation will be setting up 150 more centers in the city.
Currently, there are 97 Covid vaccination centres in the city and addition of 150 more centres is expected to boost up the innoculation drive.
The proposed locations for the centres were decided last week and facilities there were also checked. Besides, staff required for have been arranged.
Initially, only those who have done online registration will get the vaccine. There is no planning about door to door vaccine campain yet. However, special vaccination drives will be conducted, informed additional municipal commissioner Ram Joshi.
It is worth mentioning here that no directions has been received from the state government in regarding Priminister Narendra Modi’s free vaccination for citizens announcement.
