A delegation of Aam Adami Party (APP) today met Satish Mendhe, Divisional Education Officer along with Jagrut Palak Sametti. AAP in their delegation demanded that the school fees must be reduce by 50 per cent.
During the lockdown period, the schools had incurred very less expenditure, and has saved lot of money. As per the direction of the court the school must give maximum concession to parents. The Government must order the schools to take only reasonable audited tuition fees only. They also demanded an action against the schools, which has issued transfer letter (TC), and stopped on line classes of students, whose parents failed to pay the fees.
They said that giving education to the child is the right of the Government. Even the child faces mental problem, when his/her parents fails to pay the fees. The Government must understand the problem and make the students free for social inequality.
After the pandemic is over and the new academic year is scheduled. The schools must form PTA (parent’s teachers association). After approval of the PTA school must decide fees for the new academic session.
The State Government must check on the exorbitant fees hike, which is against the Law. And scrap the rule of 25 per cent parents to come together before going to the Divisional Fees Control Committee.
