The Zone 2 police busted a betting activity when they raid a flat in Sadashiv Apartment, Khare Town under Sitabuldi Police Station. Acting upon the received information the police raided the flat and found one person was engaged in betting activities on the Pakistan Super League (PSL) match between Lahore and Quetta.
The accused has been identified Shubham Kumar Shankarlaal Roy (24), a resident of Barapatthar Seoni, Madhya Pradesh (MP).
Upon raid police recovered Rs 67,200 cash and seized 7 mobile phones, three tabs, one macbook, one car and other materials of worth Rs 5.27 lakh.
The accused has been booked by Sitabardi Police Station under Section No. 261/2021 Section 4, 5 Maharashtra Gambling Act.
Additional Police Commissioner, Navinchandra Reddy and Deputy Commissioner of Police (DCP), Vinita S received secret information regarding a betting den operated from Sadashiv Apartment. After which the team acted quickly and busted the betting activity.
