The Department of Education and Sports, Maharashtra Government has formally announced the scheme for assessment of students of Standard XII, the regular examination of which could not be conducted due to Covid 10 pandemic.
The notification issued on Friday deals in details with the method of assessment. As has been publicised earlier the marks will be computed based on marks secured by the students at Std X, XII and XII. The Std X examination was conducted by Maharashtra Board of Secondary and Higher Secondary Education, through its Divisional Boards. The data is available with the Board.
While computing the result of Std XII, 30% marks of Std X, 30% of Std XI and 40% of Std XII will be considered. These marks will be considered for three subjects, in which the student has scored highest marks. The examination of Std XII was cancelled by the Board. The marks to be awarded will be based on internal assessment – written, on-line, oral examinations conducted by their respective schools/ junior colleges.
The Education Department has also stated that those who wish to actually write the examination, may appear for it when conducted. Those who are not satisfied with the result to be announced, may also appear for improvement in their Class (Grade).
The date of announcement of result, however, has not been mentioned in the notification.
As the results are being computed in a different manner this year, retotalling or issuing copies of answer sheets is not possible. The restrictions are applicable only for this year.
The notification has been issued based on recommendation by a Committee constituted by the State Government for the purpose. Separate scheme will be announced soon for the repeaters.
The Committee will organise a webinar to help the schools and colleges to explain the scheme in details and also to sort out their problems.
Efforts have also been made to sort out issues raised by them and can be viewed on website http://mahahsscboard.in/ .
The notification has also been uploaded on the website www.maharashtra.gov.in and can be opened using number 2021107021615145121, informs the notification.
