Entrepreneurship development cell of the Dharampeth M.P Deo Memorial Science college and Department of Microbiology in collaboration with  i-Transform paramedics Organised, a government sponsored Skill Development program in Health Care industry for Biological Science students.
This program is specially designed for upliftment of underprivileged students to make them self reliant in life and get ready for jobs in future.
Total 64 students attended the preliminary meeting, out of which 21 got selected by government for various training programs.
Under the sankalp training program, Director of i- Transform Sameer Joshi guided the students for paramedic courses. The students shortlisted were for OT( Operation theatre) – 5; and for DT (Dialysis technique) -16.
These students were then given the instructions regarding the course program on paramedics. A Skill development programme was conducted at the Kingsway hospital in the prsence of Dean of King’s way Hospital Dr. Khadelwal.
In the training program students were given training on Personality development, communication skills, about medical discipline & preventive measures which they required to know during their observer-ship & internship tenure.
As a part of curriculum students were also given COVID CARE Expert Orientation training to Create skilled professionals to support COVID care centres.
In Observer-ship Program  students were given training by observation & demonstrations of operations as well as kidney dialysis technique by the expert team this program is of 100 hrs.
This internship program was possible due to immense support and motivation from the Principal of the college Dr.Akhilesh Peshwe ,and President of Dharampeth Education Society Advocate Ulhas Aurangabadkar and other esteemed members of the college management.
The course coordinator of this programme Dr.Vidya Kathoke and Head of Microbiology department Dr.Archana Kulkarni thanked Sameer Joshi, for selecting the college students and giving them this opportunity.
