Enraged over OCW move on encroaching government school Aam Aadmi Party West Nagpur staged a protest at Mangalwari Zone Chawani Chowk today.
Nagpur Municipal Corporation’s school education department planned to close three more primary schools under Mangalwari Zone. However students have been allowed to attend school in other areas but the students in government schools are from poor families, children of slum workers, and cannot afford to travel to another school AAP said.
The Right to Education Act provides the provision of primary education to children in the area. However, the shocking pattern of the school education department closing the school and handing it over to a private company is seen in Mangalwari Zone. AAP has asked OCW to relocate their office and resume school otherwise, Aam Aadmi Party workers take necessary action and start schools again.
