The education department has once again extended the admission deadline for the Right to Education Act (RTE) till July 23 of the first round of admission process.
Parents hoped that their child would get admission in reputed CBSE and state education board schools. However, it could not happen. That is why, the seats under RTE have remained vacant. Even after a month, out of 5,729 students, 1,885 have been admitted so far.
For the first time, the education department has requested to extend the deadline of July 1. The education department had argued that the parents of the children selected in the draw are facing problems due to the Covid situation. Hence, they have not been able to enroll the children by reaching the allot ted schools within the given time.
Some parents are busy in preparing the requisite documents. hence the time limit for the admission has been extend ed. With this, the officials of the department has expressed the hope that seats would be filled by July 23.
