A leopard was again spotted in wee hours of July 15 at Ordnance Factory Ambajhari area by two security guards.
This is the second incident when the leopard was sighted in the vicinity. Earlier on July 9 Forest official confirmed Leopard pub-marks in Ordnance Factory for the first time. Since then there was no sign of the big cat even though camera traps were installed in the area.
The Forest Department has taken serious note of the incident. A team of Hingana Forest Range along with 4 platoons of SRPF have been deployed to patrol the area.
The Forest Department has cleared the entire area and started searching for the leopard.Â
Forest officials predicts that the leopard is still Ambajhari area as the Ordnance Factory is a perfect habitat for wildlife.
The Forest officials has appealed citizens to not panic and immediately call the Wildlife Rescue Center (TTC) Nagpur on 0712-2515306 and the Forest Department on Toll Free No. 1926.
