As the State government has made vaccine doses available, people are being vaccinated on large scale in the city.
On Friday, 3,4501 persons were administered vaccine in the city of these, 22,159 got their first dose and 12,342 got their second dose.
On the other hand, in view of the availability of the vaccine on Saturday Covishield will be admin istered at 145 centers on Saturday Citizens above 18 years of age are being given free vaccines at gov ernment centres. Vaccination will be done from 10 am to 4 pm.
Additional municipal commissioner Ram Joshi said that Kovaccine is being installed at three centers of the city and Covishield at the remain ing centers.
According to the new pol icy of the central govern ment, the second dose of Covishield is being given after 12 weeks.
