The Central and State government had issued orders to be ready for the third wave of coronavirus. In such situation, Nagpur Municipal Corporation has also become alert and started preparing to face the third wave situation.
Under this process, the proposal of setting up Covid Care Centre (CCC) of 200 beds in Rashtrasant Tukdoji Maharaj Nagpur University for children and people is coming for approval in the municipal House. A proposal of 1.29 crore has been made for this centre and it will passed in next meeting.
As per proposal, the Nagpur Municipal Corporation has acquired three storey administrative building of Nagpur University on Ambazari Road. 30 ICU beds, 20 NICU beds and 150 oxygen beds will be arranged in this building.
Post-work is being kept in the House for approval as it is an urgent matter. The municipal administration has started work on the concerned Covid Care Centre.
Earlier during the second wave the coronavirus situation in April month had become very sensitive. Beds were not available all over the city and a panicky situation had occured. So taking hints from past, steps will have to be taken from now only to prevent the situation.
