Delegation of  Nag  Vidarbha Chamber of Commerce (NVCC) lead by Padmashree  Dr Vikas Mahatme, MP meets Union Finance Minister of State Dr Bhagwat Karad. Also present in the delegation were Ashwin Mehadia, President NVCC, Farque Akbani and Adv Sanjay Agrawal, both vice-presidents and CA Ritesh Mehta, Convenor of NVCC Indirect Tax Committee.Â
After submitting a memorandum to Dr Karad regarding problems faced  by traders while filing GST and Income Tax. They requested the Union Finance Minister of State for further simplification of GST and Income Tax filing. Mehadia also briefed Dr Karad about the problems faced while filing Income Tax with the new website.
He also discussed the problems faced due to changes in the   TCS and TDS rules. Akbani requested to bring down GST rates. He also urged to change QRMP scheme to QRQP and problems to the tax payers in taking ITC credit. Agrawal requested to restore the registration of traders, which was canceled under the GST Amnesty Scheme. Â
CA Ritesh Mehta pointed out the Union Finance Minister of State to intervene in the action taken on taxpayers under Section 16(4) of GST.
After a patient listening to the suggestions of NVCC Dr  Karad assured to take up the matter with the GST Council.  He also said that NVCC will be called for further discussion if need arise.
