Though the pandemic has brought down the sale of the automobile sector by 25 percent, the market will grow in the future days, expressed Anuj Pande, Director of Eros Motors Private Limited. He was talking to The Live Nagpur, in an exclusive interview. The customer’s response was as usual. “This is the right time for the buyers to own a new car. One may exchange his or her old car and get a good return on it. Further, there is a facility of 100 percent finance,†he elaborated.
Pande further added that the major reason for the sale coming down was less supply by the manufacturers due to lock down. Expressing satisfaction over the current pandemic restrictions, he suggested opening it carefully after considering all consequences. He also said that the Government must think wisely and compensate or roll down some schemes to promote the loss incurred to the business community, during the lockdown.
About the future of electric vehicles, he said, “It’s a distant dream, and it will take around 10 years to become a reality. Even the charging points/ stations are not ready. Technology is yet to be fully developed. Looking at all these factors there is no scope for electric vehicles to be launched in near future.†Â
Pande who is also President of Vidarbha Automobiles Dealer Association (VADA) recalled his memories of the past two auto expo held in the city in the past. He said, “If the conditions are favourable, the auto expo is planned by VADA. One gets an insight of the complete automobile sector of the region,†He said
