Gondwana University, Gadchiroli has bagged first prize for its National Service Scheme (NSS) unit in the state. University’s Dr Naresh Madhukar Madavi has been selected as Best Programme Co-ordinator and Gurudas Dadaji Balki of Shri Shivaji Arts, Commerce and Science College, Chandrapur finds place in four Best Programme Officers. This college is affiliated to the Gondwana University.
NSS unit of Shri Shivaji Arts, Commerce and Science College, Chandrapur has also been selected among four best in the state.
The University has also achieved another feat, as Priyanka Shamrao Thakre of Mahatma Gandhi Arts, Science and N P Commerce College has been selected as best NSS volunteer among the 14 volunteers selected for state level prize.
Divesh Nandkishor Ginnare of Nagpur Veterinary College, and Amar Anil Katore of Shri Shivaji Arts and Commerce College, Amravati are also among the 14 NSS volunteers.
Thus Vidarbha region has excelled in services through NSS.
Gonwana University Vice-Chancellor (additional Charge) Dr Shrinivas Varakhedi has congratulated the university and college NSS officers and students for their achievements.
