A team of forestmen from Paoni Forest Range produced all the four accused in pangolin scale smuggling case before JMFC, Ramtek, on Friday and the court granted them one day’s Forest Custody Remand till Saturday.
Forestmen had nabbed two accused – Prashant Ganesh Chachere and Dilip Mayaram Admane, both residents of Khanora – on Tuesday and seized 25 peices of pangolin scales and other materials used for poaching. They were produced before JMFC, Ramtek, on Wednesday. The court granted them FCR till August 27.
Therefore, forestmen produced them and two more accused – Ratan Mayade, a resident of Tangla, and Sandip Khandate, a resident of Lakhapur – and the court granted them FCR till tomorrow.
The forestmen had nabbed Prashant and Dilip on Fulzari road, near Hiwra village on the basis of a tip-off.
