Medical equipment was donated to Nagpur Municipal Corporation by Youth for Unity and Voluntary Action (YUVA). Municipal Corporation Commissioner Radhakrishnan B. received the equipment from Nitin Meshram, Senior Project Associate, YUVA.
YUVA is currently implementing various projects in Nagpur related to COVID- 19, such as supporting Municipal Vaccination Centres, Vaccination Help Desks (VHDs) in slums, WASH (Water and Sanitation Hygiene) program to name a few. It has donated 15 paediatric monitors, 15 B.P Apparatus, 48 bipap masks (non-vented), 48 bipap masks (vented) and five Infusion pumps, received from Help Your NGO.
Municipal Commissioner Radhakrishnan B. said that the equipment would be of great help during a possible third wave. It will be used at Indira Gandhi Hospital Gandhinagar, Isolation Hospital Imamwada and in the proposed Covid Care Centre Jamnalal Bajaj Administrative Building of Nagpur University.
Additional Commissioner Ram Joshi, Medical Health Officer Dr. Narendra Bahirwar, Assistant Medical Health Officer Dr. Vijay Joshi, Nilesh Khadse YUVA, Anil Wasnik and Shailendra Wasnik (SVM) were present.
