The Nagpur division of South East Central Railway (SECR) has launched a campaign to act against passengers travelling without tickets and flouting Covid safety norms.
During the campaign, a fine of 287,33,230 was collected in 18,015 cases. A fine of 286,67,620 was collected from 17,779 passengers without tickets.
Similarly, A fine of 28,010 was imposed on 66 passengers, 46,200 on 111 passengers without masks and 11,400 on 59 people for smoking.
Divisional railway manager Maninder Uppal has appealed to passengers with tickets to travel between August 1 and August 20, action against passengers travelling without tickets at Nagpur-Durg section.
Gondia Balaghat. Jabalpur Gondia-Ballarshah section, Itwari section and Chhindwara section was taken under the guidance of senior divisional commercial manager Vikas Kumar Kashyap. Assistant manager commercial Avinash Kumar Anand and Jitendra Tiwari took the action.
