Mandatory Hallmarking & Training Programme organized by Bureau of Indian Standards, Nagpur Branch office on 29th August 2021(11.00 am) at Shinde Mahavidayalaya, Bhadravati (Dist.Chandrapur).
Around 20 jewellers from Bhadravati & members of sarafa association attended the programme.
Programme began with welcoming the guests followed by a welcome address given by Shri Vijay Nitnaware, Scientist-E & Head (NGBO). Mr. Mahesh Shintole
(Tahsildar, Bhadravati) & officers of BIS were on the dais.
Since, the HUID Scheme has been mandatory by the Government of India with effect from lstLJuly 2021, on this view Shri. Piyush Wasekar, Scientist-D (NGBO) gave a presentation on mandatory quality order of hallmarking & it’s FAQ. He guided complete procedure of HUID to jewellers from jewellers prospective.
In his presentation, he explained how jewellers Can generate HUID request to AHC through the manakonline portal & how to check status of HUID jewellery from their login.
Sarvesh Trivedi, Scientist- C (NGBO) presented & explained step by step online procedure for jewellers registration. Further, he explained that now there is no
documentation required to be uploaded except for annual turnover documents, No payment is required to be made for online registration of LJewellers and Jewellers registration is granted for lifetime as long as the jewellers sales outlet is existing.
No renewal is required to be done, no fees is required in future after registration except for special situations like shifting of Jewellery outlet, change in the name of
outlet, change in management of outlet and related works.
Vijay Nitnaware, Scientist-E a Head (NGBO) of BIS, Nagpur has requested to all jewellers to send all your jewellery through HUID System only and maximum
number of jewellers to come under the umbrella of mandatory hallmarking.
Even though some of the districts are not covered under mandatory hallmarking except Nagpur, Amravati, Akola & Nanded.
