Mahatma Gandhi Hindi International University, wardha will establish Sarvagya Shree Chakradhar Swami Marathi Language and Philosophy Study cenhtre at Amravati.
Government of India has approved the proposal in principle, infoms Vice-Chancellor of M G Hindi University Prof Rajneesh Kumar Shukla.
Chakradhar Swami, a prominent saint of India, was born in Gujarat, but made Riddhpur in Amravati as his work place. This is the eighth centenary year of his birth. He composed prolific text in Marahi language on many subjects including Indian philosophy, Shrimadbhagvat geeta, Sanatan Dharma, Medicine etc.
This may be a rare example of Hindi International University starting a study centre in Marathi language. Government of India through its agencies, Book Trust of India and others are being involved for sponsorships of literature and researchers at the Centre.
