Maharashtra Transport Minister Anil Parab has filed a defamation case against Bharatiya Janata Party leader Kirit Somaiya, on Tuesday.
Somaiya has leveled charges of corruption against Parab. Following allegations, Parab had made a statement that Somaiya should either prove the charges or apologies, within 72 hours.
Parab informed media persons that after the given period for Somaiya (72 hours), the defamation case has been filed with the Bombay High Court. The defamation case is of Rs 100 crore against Somaiya.
Meanwhile, Somaiya has leveled charges of corruption against Chief Minister Uddhav Thackeray. He has alleged that land in the name of his (Thackeray’s) wife Rashmi, was purchased by diverting money illegally.
