Management of Pench Tiger Reserve (PTR) in cooperation with CAC- All Rounder Adventure Organisation organised Jungle Challenge Bi-cycle Rally in Kolitmara situated in West Pench with a view of creating awareness about the importance of flora and fauna among the tribals in this remote area on Saturday and Sunday.
The rally passed through Kuwara-Bhivsen, Suvardhara, Banera, Narhar and concluded at Tourist Complex in Kolitmara, where a programme of interaction with the people was held. On the second day, the rally passed through Narhar, Dhawlapur, Ambazari Tippat, Ambazari, Saleghat, Khubala, Maharkund and ended at Surewani, During the rally, programmes of jungle safari and birth watching were organised.
The programme was held under the guidance of Dr Prabhu Nath Shukla, Deputy Director, Pench, Nagpur, in which Kiran Patil, Vishal Chavan, Range Forest Officer, West Pench and Amol Khante guidance the people on tiger conservation and livelihood to the community. Dr Shukla said that a similar event would be organised in cooperation with CAC – All Roundeer Adventure Organisation for making available employment opportunities.
