The Nuisance Detection Squads (NDS) of Nagpur Municipal Corporation took action against an organisation and fined it Rs 20,000 for not following the covid rules here on Monday. The squads also visited 136 religious places, including 53 temples, 7 masjids and education institutions, told them about the covid protocol and warned on Sunday that they should not allow persons having not taken two doses of covid vaccination in the premises.
The squads took action under the guidance of NDC Chief Veersen Tambe.
It may be mentioned here that Radhakrishnan B, Municipal Commissioner had instructed in the meeting of NDS and officers on Saturday that they should seal the religious places if found allowing the devotees without having taken two doses of vaccination inside. In this background, NDS has started visiting religious places and creating awareness among the people about the importance of vaccination s well as taking action against defaulters.
All the squads from ten zones visited the temples and informed the management committees about the government rules to be followed to avoid the spread of the disease. They visited Deekshabhoomi, Shri Saibaba Mandir, Wardha Road, Shri Swardhmannagar Jain Shwetambar Sangh, Shri Radhakrishna Mandir, Vrundavan Dham, Maszid at Teka Naka, Shri Durgadevi Sarvajanik Deosthan, Shri Navratri Durga Utsava Mandal, Nehru statue, Itwari, Hanuman Khidki Mandir, Loha pul, Shri Durga Mata mandir, Ganjipeth, Shri Renuka Devi Deosthan, Shri Hanuman Mandir, Trimurti Nagar, Ring Road, and other places and asked to follow the rules to avoid sealing action.
