Chintamani Vanjari, Education Officer (Primary), has informed the schools, parents, and social organisations that the deadline for admissions under Right to Education (RTE) Act to private schools, is October 22.
The admission process for the academic session 2021-22 has started from October 12. Barring the minority educational institutions, 25 per cent seats in permanently unaided private schools are open for admissions under RTE Act, stated Vanjari in a press release.
Information regarding the admission of children in waiting list may be obtained by visiting the website https://student.maharashtra.gov.in, he added. Considering COVID-19 situation, the parents should not bring their wards to schools.
The process for admissions under RTE Act should be carried out while abiding by COVID-19 guidelines, he added.
