In an effort to complete 100 percent vaccination, District Collector Vimla R has issued instructions to expedite the immunisation process.
In case of failure the employees can face action, which include withholding salary; students’ admission can be withheld and they may not be allowed to appear for examinations; applicants may not get benefits of various government schemes. The special mission for the purpose has been directed to ensure 100 percent vaccination by November 30.
On November 2 81.79 percent of the population have been immunised for the first dose and 39.07 have received the second dose of Corona vaccine.
Maharashtra Chief Minister Uddhav Thakeray has taken the decision to complete 100 percent immunisation by November end. Those who have not taken two doses will not be allowed to travel either by bus, train or local trains. Notification to this effect has also been issued.
In view of gap of 84 days in two doses, industrial houses, private establishments should allow employees only when they have taken at least first dose. Colleges should organise vaccination camps to ensure vaccination of all the students, Vimla R has stated in a press note issued here.
