Maharashtra former Home Minister Anil Deshmukh has been sent to 14 days judicial custody.
Deshmukh was in the custody of Enforcement Directorate since November 2. He is facing charges of money laundering and extortion, levelled against him by former Mumbai Police Commissioner Param Bir Singh.
Deshmukh, who did not respond to five summons of ED appeared before it on November 1, after exhausting all legal tools for getting relief from the ED enquiry. After interrogation for about 13 hours he was arrested by ED in the wee hours of November 2.
Deshmukh was produced before the court in Mumbai on Saturday.
