Despite continuous patrolling by teams of Forest Department and Ordnance Factory (OF), the leopard was not seen in the premises of OF or nearby areas on Saturday.
A watchman on the tower in the premises of OF had sighted the leopard on Friday morning at gate no: 2 and informed the higher authorities. Upon getting information, Forest Department deployed two teams to search the carnivore along with teams of OF. However, the wild animal has not been found yet moving there.
When contacted Ashish Ninawe, Range Forest Officer, Hingna, told The Live Nagpur that the department installed five camera traps at the strategic points but even after checking today no picture of leopard was captured. It would not shift the cameras from the existing place at least for another two days because the carnivore has full chances to move out by that place, he added.
OF has also iussed an advisory cautioning the officers/employees about not moving alone in the premises to avoid any untoward incident.
