The State Government has imposed certain restrictions, including ban on assembly of five or more persons from 9 pm to 6 am in public places and limited attendace in programmes, owing to increasing cases of coronavirus. The restrictions come into force from midnight.
Uddhav Thackeray, the Chief Minister, appealed to the citizens to strictly follow government rules to avoid further spread of coronavirus.
Debashish Chakraborty, the Chief Secretary, issued the directives on Friday.
The restrictions include: presence of 100 persons for wedding ceremony in closed hall, 250 persons in open land or 25 per cent of the capacity of plce, 50 percent presence of people of seating arrangement for other functions, allowing 25 percent presence of capacity in open programme, 50 percent persons in hotels, gym, theatres, 25 percent of the capacity for sports competitions or functions, not more than 100 persons in political, social, religious functions etc.
