The Additional District Consumer Redressal Commission gave a blow to Krishna Real Estate and Land Development. The real estate company was fined for breaking a contract with customers.
In the interests of two of the company’s customers, the commission issued a number of orders. Manju and Asha Dixit are the customers. They are both from Mankapur.
The commission ordered the firm to provide sale deeds for the two plots that the customers had purchased.
Otherwise, the firm is required to pay them the market value of the plots, according to the order. Another option suggested by the order is to give the customers $146,125 with 18% interest starting on July 18, 2009.
Similarly, the commis sion also ordered to pro vide customers with 25,000 for mental and physical harassment and 10,000 compensation for expenses incurred while filing the complaint.
Krishna Real Estate has been given a month’s time for giving relief to complainants.
Both complainants received relief from the president of the consumer forum, Sanjay Patil, as well as members Smita Chandekar and Avinash Prabhune.
Manju and Asha had purchased two plots in a layout in Raibasa-Jalalkheda, according to the complaints. On December 20, 2008, they signed a contract to buy the 1,20,416 plots.
Then they made full payment to Krishna Real Estate. However, the firm failed to provide the plots’ sale deeds to both customers.
