Despite the imposition of a night curfew, the Nagpur district administration is in shock to witness double-digit cases from the past three days.
The district on Tuesday witnessed a huge jump as 44 new Covid-19 cases, were reported in the last 24 hours, the biggest tally since October. Meanwhile, only one person recovered from the dreaded virus.
Among the new cases, 34 are from Nagpur city while three are from rural areas in the district while seven are from outside the district.
With the threat of the third wave looming large, strict instructions have been issued in various places in Nagpur city and citizens are advised to take all necessary precautions. Fortunately, no death has been reported today as well which keeps the death tally constant at 10122.
After today’s addition of cases, the cumulative of positive cases reached to 4,93,904. Out of these 6933 cases are reported from outside the district. Meanwhile, the cumulative recovery stands at 4,83,630. With the sudden hike in positive cases the active count further goes up to 152.
