India’s Omicron cases rose to 961 across the country, Union ministry of health and family welfare on Thursday informed that 180 new infections was reported in last 24 hours. A total of 320 persons have been recovered till date.
Out of the total 961 cases Maharashtra tally reached to 252 patients. With 85 new cases of Omicron Variant reported from Maharashtra on Wednesday 53 cases in Mumbai, 3 new cases in Nagpur. Following addition of new Omicron cases the total cumulative tally of cities in state are as follows Mumbai 137, Pimpri-Chinchwad 25, Pune rural 18, Pune MC 11, Thane MC 8, 7 cases each in Navi Mumbai, Panvel, Kalyan, Dombivali, Nagpur 6, 5 each in Satara and Osmanbad, 2 cases each in Aurangabad, Nanded, Buldhana, Bhivandi, and Nizampur, and One case each in Latur, Ahmednagar, Akola, Meera, Bhayandar, Kolhapur.
However, Delhi tops in the list of Omicron patient with 263 cases being reported till date with 57 patients already recovered.
India registered as many as 13,154 new cases of coronavirus disease (Covid-19) in the past 24 hours, taking the country’s tally to over 34.8 million.
While, 268 people succumbed to the coronavirus disease in the same period and the country’s death toll climbed to 480,860, the health ministry’s data showed.
India’s Active caseload currently stands at 82,402. The active cases account for less than 1% of total cases, currently at 0.24%.
143.83 cr vaccine doses have been administered so far under Nationwide Vaccination Drive. The Recovery Rate of India is currently at 98.38%. 7,486 recoveries in the last 24 hours increases Total Recoveries to 3,42,58,778.
