A four-member team has arrived here from Sangli under Kolhapur Forest Circle on Saturday to conduct rescue operation of the 5 to 7 feet long crocodile from Nag nullah near Maharajbag area.
The team members also with Seminary Hills forestmen visited the spot to locate the reptile. They found it in the nullah today and start the operation from tomorrow, informed Dr Bharat Singh Hada, Deputy Conservator of Forest, Nagpur, while talking to The Live Nagpur.
Forest Department has already put up a cage at the nullah and also installed three camera traps at the strategic points. It also displayed on the board that the citizens should be cautious while passing in that area. Dr Hada said the members could trap the crocodile in the cage kept there with a bait in it or they can catch it physically.
