Dr (Mrs) Shakuntala Suresh Navagiri, Former Professor and Head, Department of Anatomy, IGGMC, Nagpur and resident of Laxminagar left for her heavenly abode on the 4th of January 2022 following a brief illness. She was 85 years old.
Dr Navagiri was a pioneer in the field of medical embryology and has been one of the first PhDs in the country in the medical field as well as a PhD and PG guide. She leaves behind 3 daughters and a host of relatives to mourn the loss. The last rites were performed at Ambazhari Ghat on Tuesday.
