The management of Balasaheb Thackeray Gorewada Zoo and Park will keep jungle safari closed to tourists from Monday, following directives by the government issued on Saturday imposing curbs in view of Omicron/Covid19 cases all over Maharashtra.
P B Panchbhai, Divisional Manager, Gorewada Zoo Project, informed on Sunday that the government asked managements of parks, zoos and ticket selling places to keep them closed owing to rise in the cases. Therefore, Gorewada Park and Indian safari are being closed till further notice. He appealed to tourists to take a note of this closure.
