Dr Madhusudan Penna, a senior professor and a scholar, has been given charge as Vice-Chancellor of Kavikulguru Kalidas Sanskrit University.
The charge has been given to him as Dr Shrinivasa Varakhedi relegated the post to join his new assignment as VC of Central Sanskrit University, New Delhi.
Dr Varakhedi was accorded warm farewell by KKSU staff and students in an emotion-filled ceremony.
