Koradi Police has detained former Maharashtra Minister Chandrashekhar Bawanukule. Bawankule along with other Bharatiya Janata Party workers were staging ‘Sit-In’ agitation in front of the Police Station demanding registering FIR against Maharashtra Congress Chief Nana Patole and his arrest.
Bawankule lodged a complaint against Patole in the morning and staged sit-in agitation. He stated that the party workers will not leave unless they get copy of the FIR.
Around 12.45 police detained Bawankule and BJP workers. The Police Station Incharge stated that the said video of Patole is being verified by the Cyber Cell. Decision on registering FIR will be taken after the Cyber cell’s report.
Another MLA from Nagpur Krishna Khopde also lodged complaint with the police. Surprisingly Khopde lodged the complaint with Lakadganj Police Station, even when he was detected Corona Positive only five days back. Khopde said that he sought permission from Health Officer of Nagpur Municipal Corporation, before visiting the Police Station.
Leader of Opposition and former Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis has also demanded arrest of Patole. This appears to be a systematic effort by Congress to defame Prime Minister Narendra Modi. This was evident from the recent incident in Punjab and now Patole making derogatory statement in his village Sukli in Bhandara district. Union Minister Narayan Rane was arrested immediately when he made statement against chief Minister Uddhav Thackeray.
In Mumbai BJP leader Atul Bhatkhalkar was also detained for staging agitation against Patole.
