A snake was found inside the chamber of Bombay High Court judge, Justice NR Borkar on Friday.
The snake was 4.5 to 5 feet long and non-poisonous was discovered early in the morning when the judge was not present in his chambers.
According to officials, after the snake was discovered, the information was immediately relayed to the police staff who contacted an NGO – SarpMitra (friend of the snake).
One Valmiki from the organisation arrived and seized the snake. The snake will be release in its appropriate premises, the official said.
Bombay High Court is currently holding hearings virtually due to the surge in COVID-19 cases in Maharashtra and there is reduced footfall in High Court due to the same.
