The staff and students of Centre Point School, Wardhaman Nagar celebrated Republic Day with great fervour and enthusiasm. Not letting the online celebrations dampen their spirits, the junior school children dressed up as
freedom fighters and talked about them too.
The students of class 9 made a wonderful PPT where they showcased forgotten heroes of the freedom struggle. This served as an eyeopener for many teachers and students alike and they really appreciated this gesture of paying respects of our dear departed forgotten heroes.
In her address, the principal, Mrs. Kanchan Ukey elaborated on the government initiative called Azadi ka Amrit Mahotsav where multiple competitions were held which gave students umpteen opportunities to showcase their talents and learn more about the heroes of the freedom struggle. The purpose of this was to educate the students on the various examples of valour, courage, selflessness and determination of our freedom fighters. This in turn may enlighten and inspire the youth towards a more progressive nation.
From this year onwards, 2 exemplary students of class 12 will be awarded the coveted ‘Student of the Year’ award.
