About 7,800 teachers appointed in a fraudulent manner will face axe, following the detection of fraud in the conduct of Teachers’ Eligibility Test (TET).
Malpractice in the TET, conducted between 2012 and 2018, has been detected. During the investigation, police have identified about 7,800 persons clearing the examination by using unfair means and bribery.
Following detection of fraud in the TET conducted by Maharashtra State Council of Examination (MSCE), Pune police arrested five persons. They revealed the modus operandi of the scandal. Several persons at the helm of affairs were also under scanner. Huge money was also involved in the fraud.
MSCE has detailed investigation into the fraud and action against those who have used unfair means in the TET and got appointment as teacher.
On Friday Pune and Nagpur police have revealed that about 7,800 persons were beneficiary of the scandal. Action against them will be initiated.
